I have been with Arriva for nearly 9 yrs if you like working with the public and like driving this is the job for you. I have moved up in the company and still learning new things.
free family bus pass
can be long hours
Long shifts if you want moneyPart time work you would seriously have to beg.Overtime definitely available. Some Public are uncompliant with COVID rulesOpportunities for promotion few and far between and usually handpicked.Poor work/life balance.
Good pension, colleague banter, overtime plenty
Poor Work/life balance, poor promotion opportunities.
Where do I start, if you are desperate and on the edge of cliff I still wouldn't want to recommend that you work here. Staff moral is non existing, and management tend to micro manage, they haven't got a clue. The GM is a decent bloke, but is let down by the idiots that work underneath him. He can't see it and eventunality it's gonna cost him his job. The can't even put out a rota together and trying to get a day of to get something organised is a joke. The buses are rubbish and tend to breakdown a lot, engineering manager is not much cop and spends most of the time going around grating. The canteen is disgusting even the rats would eat here no more. Drivers are going sick left right and centre and leaving because they are fed up. IF you want a job a step up the ladder would be diamond. It far more of company than Tamworth.
