Caring for people and the world around us is an essential part of our business. Here are the three pillars in our impact strategy and how you can support them! Planet: We’re committed to reducing our carbon footprint. In addition to our own operations, we address our indirect impact on areas such as the emissions created by food production and delivery. Our main focus is on electrifying our fleet, minimising the environmental impact of our offices and reducing plastic packaging across our partner restaurants. Food: We’re responding to changing diets and preferences by offering customers the broadest choice possible, from new cuisines to more sustainable choices, such as vegan options. We’re also committed to supporting our partners and consumers in reducing food waste. People & Society: We’re improving our social footprint by providing rewarding employment opportunities for both our couriers and office staff. That’s achieved by supporting colleagues and communities in the areas where we operate. To support this strategy, we drive key initiatives based on our pillars. Here are some recent highlights from them: • Accelerating e-delivery: we are expanding our logistic service with more and more electric vehicles • Packaging innovation: we’ve partnered with sustainable packaging startup Notpla to launch fully compostable food containers in our UK business • Supporting charities: in 2020, we donated €1.5 million to food banks and partner charities as part of our first-ever global charity campaign • Environmentally-friendly offices: we’re launching various initiatives across our offices, from reusable food containers to green energy.
