About the Bar

The Teatro della Cometa first opened in 1958 under the tutelage of Anna Laetitia Pecci Blunt. After establishing herself as an influential patron for the arts, she conceptualized the Teatro della Cometa, hosting renowned and avant-garde artists of all disciplines to show and perform in front of a Roman audience. Today, inspired by the Countess’ original vision, the theater’s new management aims to bring the spotlight back on this “gioiello ai piedi del colle Capitolino” through dynamic programming that celebrates artistic expression and free thought in all its forms for the Roman community.

A meticulous renovation of the entire theater has returned its architecture to its original splendor. The bar, located at the heart of the theater’s intimate foyer, is open to the public from Tuesday – Sunday from 10am – midnight and serves espresso, wine, cocktails and light fare.

About the role

The servers support the Bar Manager, Head Barista and Head Bartender to deliver superior guest service and hospitality, carry out simple food preparation, and maintain a clean and tidy working environment.

We are seeking a candidates who possess the following qualities:

● Has a positive attitude even under pressure of busy service

● Collaborative approach to work and works well in a team environment

● Excellent communication skills

Primary Responsibilities

● Daily morning and evening bar operations, including taking orders, simple food preparation, serving and clearing tables

● Delivering superior customer service to make guests feel welcome and comfortable

● Maintain all areas (FOH & BOH) clean and tidy: daily and weekly cleaning tasks, washing dishes, stocking fridges & shelves

Additional Responsibilities

● Cross-Training: coffee and tea preparation, wine service and cocktail preparation

Experience Required

● Minimum 1-2 years experience as a server

● Experience working in Rome, international experience is preferred
