Description
Responsible for supporting sales, world-class technical representation, support, and training, to water systems distributors and their contractors.
Key Responsibilities
In the assigned territory, provide technical service and support on Franklin Electric water systems products, including motors, pumps, and electronic drives and controls.- Guide testing and troubleshooting of Franklin products in water systems installations.
- Provide direction and expertise during new product installations.
- Represent Franklin Electric at on-site installation meetings to timely resolve field issues.
- Present technical seminars to water systems distributors, dealers, and contractors.
- Represent Franklin Electric at trade shows and special events.
- Write and submit weekly reports needed to highlight problems at specific sites and/or with certain customers or products.
- Provide specialized training to specific customers.
- Perform other related duties as required or assigned.
Skills Knowledge and Expertise
Working knowledge of water systems in general, with specific knowledge of pumps, motors, drives and controls.- Excellent interpersonal, presentation and communication skills. Ability to develop strong working relationships with water systems professionals.
- Be able to work independently with outstanding organizational skills.
- Previous sales or service experience preferred.
- Self-motivated and energetic personality with a desire to service the customer.
- Effectively communicates information and responds to questions in person-to-person and small group situations with customers, clients, the general public, and other employees of the organization.
- Maintains confidentiality and uses discretion with business information.
- Reads and understands documents such as policy manuals, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Deals with problems involving several known variables in situations of routine nature.
- Plans the time, method, manner, and/or performance sequence of own work; may also occasionally assist in planning work assignments performed by others within a limited area of operation.
- Defines problems, collects data, establishes facts, and draws valid conclusions.
- Deals with problems involving several known variables in situations of routine nature.
- Solves practical problems and deals with a variety of known variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Travels up to 40 percent of the time
- Reads, writes, and speaks English fluently.
Education and Experience
- High school technical diploma, electronics specialization
- ITS electronic specialization (prefered)
- No specific experience is necessary, but relevant coursework or internships can be beneficial.
Computer Skills
- Knowledge of the basic MS office tools (Excel, Word, Powerpoint)
