The contract at hand is for at least 7 months but it is also possible to commit to this position for several years. Your main activities include the following:

You carry out repair work in both mechanical and electrical engineering on machines and installations, based on the planning and within the existing guidelines/procedures in order to keep production line downtimes to a minimum. You also carry out preventive maintenance on machines and installations to prevent malfunctions.

You are also responsible for monitoring installations and machines in order to gain insight into the functioning of the installations and machines, so that you can also take corrective measures if necessary. You are in a position to make improvement proposals to the manager in the areas of effectiveness, efficiency, working conditions and safety. In this way you contribute to optimizing work processes.

Finally, it is important that you have knowledge and experience with PLC. You are involved in reading, monitoring and, where necessary, adjusting PLC equipment. You also take responsibility for organizing your own work as well as that of others and you are authorized to independently carry out very complicated repairs and maintenance work on technical installations.

Requirements

• You have completed a diploma at a secondary technical school, in mechanical or electrical engineering;

• You have at least four years of work experience in a technical position in the food industry;

• You have insight into technical aspects of industrial machines and installations, as well as insight into production technical matters;

• You can work under time pressure (this happens regularly) and also work very accurately.
