Ascend Performance Materials the premium provider of high-quality chemicals, fibers and plastics is searching for a Production Supervisor for our Mozzate plant.
Under the responsibility of the Sr. Production Manager, the Production Supervisor is accountable to drive one unit performance to all operational entitlement with respect to safety, yields usages, reliability and quality.
  • Is responsible for the production plan and its implementation, analyze deviations, manage the production parameters of each product in SAP (nomenclatures, ranges and settings sheets), proposes adjustments when needed
  • Provide guidance to the production team and site leadership in the execution of the scheduled production
  • Participate and drive the continuous improvement of operations, proposing changes in equipment, operational practices as well as production processes
  • Facilitate, organize and execute shifts changes over and extrusion training programs to be delivered to operators
  • Master troubleshooting, investigation and resolution of process and product deviations, proposes lean manufacturing solutions when needed
  • Complete, analyze and monitor KPI related to manufacturing processes, in regards to overall equipment efficiency (OEE) documentation and implement improvement plans
  • Is committed to achieve higher safety performance and follow up on defined rules related
  • Create a culture of employee engagement, teamwork, ownership, trust, creativity, innovation and growth by supporting the operators in the achievement of their objectives and to grow their skills
  • Knowledge of extrusion process and polymers (structure, tests, additives, etc.)
  • Plastics/Chemicals/Mechanical engineer or equivalent knowledge acquired through professional experience
  • Good English knowledge (written and spoken)
  • 5 years' experience in a manufacturing environment (chemical experience preferred)
  • Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing knowledge is a strong plus
  • Excellent organizational and prioritization skills for a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Is leading the team and motivate the production operators towards the achievement of shared goals
  • Flexible, reliable and open minded
