Job Description: Head of Treasury & Tax

Location: Milan – Italy (central Milan - onsite job 5 days a week).

Reports To: Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

Department: Finance

Type: Full-time & Permanent

Salary: Max offer of £80K depending on experience + bonus based on performance (20%) + ticket restaurants of 8€ per day + "Quadro".

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Treasury & Tax to join our team and lead our financial operations to new heights. The right candidate will have more or less 10 years' experience in the industry. People with 20 + years' experience are not suitable for this job.

The job is split in treasury (70%) and tax (30%) activities.

Key responsibilities:

• Develop and execute the global tax strategy, aligned with business objectives.
• Provide strategic tax advice to support business growth and M&A activity.
• Oversee tax compliance across the group, mitigating risks and ensuring accuracy.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with tax authorities and external advisors.
• Drive tax efficiency initiatives and leverage technology to optimize processes.
• Cash Flow Management
• Oversee daily cash management operations, including cash positioning, forecasting, and reporting.
• Ensure optimal liquidity levels to meet operational and strategic needs.
• Manage relationships with banks, financial institutions, and investors.
• Evaluate and negotiate terms of financing agreements to secure favourable terms for the company.

Ideal Candidate

We are seeking a strategic and commercially minded treasury and tax leader ideally with:

• CTA (or equivalent) qualification and extensive tax experience (candidates with only treasury experience won't be considered for this job).
• Proven track record in leading and developing high-performing tax teams.
• Strong understanding of tax implications of complex business structures.
• Experience in managing tax risks and compliance in a global organization.
• Significant experience in dealing with tax authorities and advisors
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• A pro-active individual who enjoys working collaboratively as a team.
• Treasury experience is desirable (if you don't have any direct treasury experience, you can still apply for the role, as long as you have an interest in exploring new skills / areas of development).
