1. Mission and key priorities of the role
The IT Ops Specialist will work in a legal entity part of a primary group operating in the Paper business.
Directly reporting to the IT Operations Manager of the BU Special Papers, the IT Ops Specialist will be accountable for managing the IT systems related to the mills and operations/manufacturing area, as well as participating in company transformation initiatives as team member or leader. The IT Ops Specialist will operate in full collaboration with the IT applications and infrastructure teams. He will have the opportunity to work with all the local and central business functions: manufacturing, supply chain, procurement, finance and controlling, etc.
2. Your responsibilities include
  • Manage the MES and ERP systems and other applications in the manufacturing sites
  • Participate to IT transformation initiatives such as new projects or systems roll-out to support M&A initiatives
  • Act as an IT business partner to collect and analyse new requirements, addressing them to the relevant responsible for application or system (internal or group team, vendor, Bolt-on system responsible/coordinator, infrastructure global team members, etc.).
  • Support manufacturing and operations on other Operation Technology (OT) systems
  • Support IT infrastructure team in problem solving and new requirements collection
  • Identify problematic areas, designing and proposing solutions to be implemented.
  • Collaborate with the Group IT to maintain standards and functionality.
  • Participate in central projects or in the local declination of the central projects
  • Availability to travel, even for extended periods, for analysis and support at production sites based on management needs and ongoing projects
3. Who are we looking for
  • Bachelor/ Master in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics/Statistics or equivalent professional experience
  • 3-5 years experience in manufacturing/operations applications, in particular MES systems and related interfaces and automation with shop-floor systems and Plc (OT, Industry 4.0, etc).
  • Experience with Aveva/Wonderware software will be considered as a plus. SAP is a nice to hace.
  • Willingness to cultivate close partnerships with our manufacturing teams acting as a reliable business partner
  • Ability to listen and translate business needs in ERP solutions demonstrating analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Project Management skills, highly organized, structured and able to prioritize
  • Fluent in Italian and English
