Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced Java Software Engineer to join our Product Foundation team. Directly reporting to the Chief Architect, you shall have proven software engineering skills and master the development of enterprise products leveraging Object-Oriented Programming models.

We are looking for a candidate with a strong passion for mathematics and low-level optimization algorithms to develop, maintain, and refine our optimization algorithm library.

As a Java Software Engineer, you are expected to be familiar with Operations Research algorithms, modern cloud paradigms and methodologies, virtualization technologies, scalable architectures, security concerns, and factory production tools.

You will contribute to the design and implementation of scalable and robust software solutions leveraging cutting-edge technologies and modern methodologies.

In addition to technical skills, you shall be a proactive and good team player, with a natural inclination to communication with other members and sharing of your expertise to accomplish business goals, while complying with company values.

Key Responsibilities:
Management and cross-team consultancy on optimization techniques.
Learning, documentation, improvement, and maintenance of Operations Research algorithms focusing on efficiency, robustness, flexibility, and scalability.
Design/integration of software components.
Development of advanced backend frameworks.
Contribution to software frameworks modernization.;
Investigation of emerging technologies to be used internally to promote software evolution.

Requirements and Skills:
4/5 years of previous experience as Backend Software Developer or a proven knowledge of this tech stack.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, IT, or related subjects.
Experience with Operations Research algorithms.
Advanced knowledge in Java and JavaEE framework.
Ability to write robust, testable, and reusable code.
Experience in the development of scalable and modular architectures (i.e., Kubernetes, Docker, EKS, AWS).
Basic experience with SQL and NOSQL databases.
Intermediate/upper intermediate English, both spoken and written (B2).
Growth-oriented mindset, to fit in a stimulating environment and tackle daily challenges.;
Knowledge of Version Control tools, such as Git.
Knowledge of cloud concepts, such as containers and cloud deployment strategies.


Nice to have skills:
Knowledge of XML/XSD/XSL/JSON.
Knowledge of Maven.
Experience in designing and developing REST/SOAP services.
Experience in web- technologies.
Knowledge of EDD (Event-Driven Development).
Knowledge of message broker platforms (ActiveMQ, RabbitMQ, Apache Kafka).
