Nablawave is an engineering company providing high-level R&D services based on innovative cutting-edge methodologies such as optimisation techniques and machine learning. Our start-up is young and lean, consisting of valuable people who are required to be proactive, fully committed, team players and creative.

Our team is expanding and looking for a new member. The tasks are very different, sometimes cross-sectorial and requiring a multidisciplinary approach. The projects are ambitious – they often need to be built from scratch. We are looking for enthusiastic, lateral thinking people, who are keen on giving their own contribution and taking on new challenges together with our crew.

You will accelerate the development of innovative engineering tools and software applications, implement new routines, and optimize the performance of existing ones. Your contribution will be essential to help the team develop intuitive and user-friendly front-end applications for complex physical model simulation tools. In addition, the final goal will be to bring our tools in a cloud-based environment, in order to improve the customer experience of our services.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop customized frontend GUI (with strong use of 3D manipulation) for several engineering applications
• Maintain the company proprietary software (frontend side), resolve bugs, develop new features, optimise performance
• Collaborate with other engineers and scientists to integrate new user-friendly GUI into real-world systems
• Communicate and present results to both technical and non-technical audiences

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, math, or any scientific discipline
• Minimum of 3 years of programming experience
• Programming experience in Python, JavaScript, TypeScript
• Expertise in version control systems (Git)
• Expertise in designing GUI

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

• 3D model visualization and manipulation with ThreeJS, BabylonJs or similar
• Experience with modern frameworks like Angular, React, Vue or similar
• Experience with MaterialUI or similar design styles and React components
• Ph.D. in scientific disciplines

SOFT SKILLS

• Analytical and problem-solving skills
• Organization and time management skills
• Written and verbal communication skills, in English
• Creativity is always a plus
• Open to feedback and constantly striving to improve

Contract: permanent.

Working hours: 40hrs/wk flexible timetable.

Workplace: Padova, partial remote working possible.
