What will you be doing in this role?

Ellab, a leading Life Science Compliance Partner, is experiencing rapid growth and we are looking for a skilled and analytical Accountant that will play a crucial role within our Finance/Administrative department. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will collaborate with the team to ensure compliance with accounting procedures and requirements.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Control and record supplier invoices, customs documents, receipts and payments.
• Update and maintain customer and supplier records.
• Prepare supplier payment schedules and follow up on overdue accounts.
• Reconcile bank statements, customer and supplier accounts.
• Handle monthly VAT settlements and manage Intrastat obligations.
• Prepare data for periodic VAT settlements, Unique Certifications and VAT Declarations.
• Support reporting activities to the parent company and assist with year-end accounting closures.
• Manage fixed assets and depreciation.
• Interact with external auditors during accounting audits.

Skills and experience you will bring to Ellab

• Proven experience in a similar role.
• Knowledge of accounting principles, VAT regulations, electronic invoicing, asset management and inventory accounting.
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Strong organisational, multitasking and problem-solving skills with a proactive attitude in handling daily tasks.
• Excellent knowledge of both spoken and written English.
