We are looking for a Charge-Back to join our headquarters at Sant’Agata Bolognese (BO), reporting directly to the Head of QA Parts.


You will be responsible to manage the cost-recovery due to quality issues from Supplier (both for 0-km & Field).


You will:

  • Detect potential chargeback opportunities

  • Collect the relevant data in term of:

  • Technical description of the problem, analysis and root causes out of the teams or specialists

who worked on the problem solving

  • Statistics from internal databases and prepare elaboration (e.g. Technical factors)
  • Cost break-down to create transparent picture to suppliers
  • Information from current contracts to prepare the discussion with supplier
  • Manage the billing and the needed auxiliary process (advises, charges & reversals, eventual needed transport or order of handling, etc…)

  • Deal with suppliers until chargeback agreement, able to argument about the technical problem and capable to face the negotiation with suppliers

  • Escalate the discussion to the needed level or internal different partners (Procurement, Finance, Legal etc..)

  • Be responsible for chargeback reporting/forecast/targeting to Managerial Committees

  • Participate as the deputy of the Head of Quality in Escalation Meetings involving the Group

  • Support chargeback process and systems improvement

  • Attend and take an active part in processes and problem-solving tables

  • Deal with field claims and data analysis: analyse warranty data and claims to support reporting and problem solving and use Group systems to collect field data from other Brands


About you:

  • University Degree in Engineering (e.g. Management, Mechanical, Materials) or Economics

  • 5 years of experience in a similar role

  • Experience in Quality, After Sales, Purchasing or Finance in the Automotive industry

  • Knowledge of economics and statistics

  • Technical knowledge of Products

  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes, components and tools

  • Experience in working and dealing in a cross functional environment

  • Familiarity with IT systems and digitalization

  • English knowledge, German will be considered a plus

  • Problem solving attitude, analytical skills, teamwork and target oriented

  • Process orientation and lesson learned approach

  • Resilience,stability and relational skills

  • Relational and negotiation skills
