SALES MANAGER – LOMBARDY AREA

POSITION

DHL Express Italy, a world leader in express transportation and logistics services, belonging to the DHL Group, for the third consecutive year awarded No. 1 Great Place to Work in Europe, is looking for a Field Sales Manager for the Lombardy Area (Milano and district Area).

Reporting to the Area Sales Manager, he/she will be responsible for ensuring the achievement of revenue and profitability targets for both assigned customers and those acquired by the sales force managed, in accordance with the defined sales policies.

MAIN TASKS
  • Leading the team to achieve sales targets.
  • Ensure compliance with and implementation of company strategies and policies within the assigned area of responsibility.
  • Analyzing sales and development data in order to ensure the results assigned to the sales team.
  • Analyzing the assigned area of responsibility and sizing the salespersons' customer portfolio according to the potential of the territory itself, the salesperson's seniority and the historical data of the customer portfolio.
  • Define for each salesperson the revenue objectives and commercial actions required to achieve the qualitative and quantitative targets assigned.
  • Support and assist salespeople in customer visits and in making offers for more complex customers.
  • Ensure the achievement of sales results in compliance with pricing and mix-product policies.
  • Monitor the profitability of the clients of the Sales Force managed using the company tools provided.
  • Analyze sales activities and revenue results, detecting any deviations from the defined target, and promotes, in agreement with the direct superior, improvement measures in order to ensure the achievement of qualitative and quantitative targets.
  • Monitor the market and competition situation in the assigned area, disseminating information to the relevant departments.
  • Establishing relations with operational departments to assess operational coverage, development opportunities and propose actions to improve the service offered to customers.

People Management

  • Manage and coordinate the activities of the Sales Force he/she, establishing intervention priorities, defining the methods and timing of work plans and ensuring their constant monitoring.
  • Motivate and promote professional growth, development and motivation of team members through coaching and feedback.
  • Promote team culture
  • Encourage the team to keep optimism and focus in challenging and uncertain scenarios
  • Ensure appropriate talent selection, organization and leadership for major areas of team organization

REQUIREMENTS
  • 5+ years' experience in sales
  • Current Experience in sales people management
  • Analytical and strategic mindset
  • Fluent English both verbal and written (level B2 – Higher Intermediate)

  • Microsoft Office skills (Intermediate/Advanced level in Power Point and Excel)
