Located in the vibrant heart of fashion district of Milan, The Carlton Hotel will have 70 rooms and suites, a restaurant, a wellness center and an exclusive rooftop bar with an amazing view of the city. Designed by Olga Polizzi in collaboration with Paolo Moschino and Philip Vergeylen, the interior will combine tradition and modernity, delivering an authentic Milanese experience. Situated in a prime location overlooking Via della Spiga, renowned for its luxury boutiques, and just a few steps from Via Montenapoleone, The Carlton Hotel is set to become the new landmark of the fashion district.

EVENTS PLANNING MANAGER

Main purpose:
The ideal candidate will be responsible for making all events unique, ensuring that wedding parties, corporate and private events are perfectly organized by keeping in close contact with our Guest and exceed their expectations. She/he will be responsible of creating and maintaining relationships with potential and existent guests.
Reports to: General Manager.

Main duties & responsibilities:

  • Produce detailed proposals for events and liaising with Guests to ascertain their precise event requirements;
  • Constant update of entertainment opportunities within the area, in order to differentiate each event and satisfy high Guests’ expectation;
  • Plan room layouts and the entertainment program;
  • Liaise between Guests requests and F&B/Room division services;
  • Coordinate venue management, suppliers, designers, contractors, equipment hire and catering with F&B Manager in line with RF policies and quality standard;
  • Handle Guests queries and troubleshooting on the day of the event to ensure that all runs smoothly, and make sure that all the events within the hotel meet the hotel's level of quality standards;
  • Follow up with Guests to understand their satisfaction;
  • Take care of overall sales-related administrative duties;
  • Act and manage events in line with budget as per GM’s instructions;
  • Ensure to be compliance with legal, health, insurance and safety obligations.
  • Work in collaboration with Proactive sales teams and Group & Event Sales Teams to establish a suitable Post Ensure compliance with all company standards, policies and procedures
  • Communicates effectively

  • Demonstrates cooperation within the team and with other departments in order to deliver service excellence influences others in the team and clearly enjoys working with people
  • Supports and attends any meetings, training sessions or courses that may be beneficial to Team Members or departments

Other requirements:

  • Previous experience in a similar role, preferred in hospitality business
  • Fluency in Italian and English. A third language is a plus
  • Natural flair for details
  • Pc literate
