Job Title:
EHS Specialist & Prevention and Protection Service Representative
Summary:
The main purpose of the role is supporting the EHS Manager in risk assessment and Industrial Hygiene activities.
Safety Specialist and Environmental part support to ensure compliance with the regulations in force in the Environment sector; participate in environmental impact studies, monitoring plan and periodic communications to External Authorities; environmental data collection; writing/updating documents for waste disposal supplier.
Responsibilities Include:
  • Support the EHS Manager (EHS) and Environmental Specialist (ES) in the execution of safety permit prescriptions (IPPC monitoring plan, safety report).
  • Support EHS Manager and ES in Environmental data collection (consortium, ISO 14001, EMAS, PRTR, SOFI, annual data for Authorities).
  • Support EHS Manager in authorization renewal.
  • Coordinate environmental sampling consistently with the environmental authorizations and/or corporate requirements for Gaseous emission, Emissions in water, Groundwater wells, Soil, and Batches of solid wastes for characterization.
  • Prepare and submit periodic reports required by law or by the corporation (annual E-PRTR declaration, ISTAT declaration, data on SOFI).
  • Draw up documents for waste disposal suppliers.
  • Ensure that the SDS at the plant are up to date and upload the data to the internal database for SDS.
  • Contribute to coordinating with ES and execute, with the support of an external lab, the annual industrial Hygiene monitoring plan.
  • Support EHS Manager in conducting risk assessment, according to the law.
  • Keep the register of legal requirements up to date.
  • Perform Internal audits, safety contacts, and support in external audits.
  • Maintain and update the EHS procedures, as needed.
  • Support the EHS team in preparing the EHS training material.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of EHS management systems and policies.
  • ISO 9001:2015 QMS Auditor. ·
  • Attend Customer Love events.
  • Participates in weekly safety meetings, periodic prevention and protection meetings, meetings with the RLS, and visits to the departments with the competent doctor.
  • Collaborates with the RSPP to obtain ISO 45001 / ISO 14001 certifications and for the execution of PSM audits and EHS audits by Momentive and insurance audits.
  • Collaborates with the RSPP in the coordination, study, and promotion of training courses, information courses for the establishment and the community, and company presentations to the community.
  • Plans and organizes training for new hires.
  • Participates in the execution of the housekeeping audit program, ISO 45001/ISO14001 and ISO 9001 audits.
  • Participates in EHS audits organized by Momentive in other factories.
  • Enters incidents at the Termoli plant into Gensuite and is responsible for the assigned elements of the Management System Checklists in Gensuite.
  • Is responsible for safety based on the definition of the art. 2 paragraph e) of Legislative Decree 81/2008 and subsequent amendments, for which it must fulfill the obligations set out in art. 19 of Legislative Decree 81/2008 and subsequent amendments.
Qualifications:
The following are required for the role
  • Chemical Engineering master's degree or equivalent academic degree.
  • 1-2+ years of industry experience
  • Knowledge of Prevention Techniques in the Environment and Workplaces.
  • High level of professional integrity.
  • Team player, a highly collaborative spirit with a strong team and interpersonal skills.
  • Rigorous. Committed and able to provide excellent work.
  • Proactive. Ability to work in autonomy and try new things on your own.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Fluent in Italian
  • Intermediate level in English
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Safety trainer.
The following are preferred for this role
  • ASPP - Prevention and Protection Service Representative - certified.
  • Deep knowledge of Main European and Italian Environmental regulations.
  • Experienced in the implementation of Environmental and safety management systems.
