We are seeking a Senior AI Governance and Ethics Specialist to join our AI Governance team. In this role, you will play a key part in defining and implementing the Responsible AI Framework for the entire organization. The Senior AI Governance and Ethics Specialist will collaborate cross-functionally with various teams to guide the definition, evaluation, and implementation of the Responsible AI Framework in full compliance with the EU AI Act. On this role you will focus on contributing to the development of AI risk taxonomies, defining appropriate metrics for the monitoring and evaluation of AI systems, and ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements. Additionally, you will support the integration of AI governance tools and assist in ensuring that AI systems are developed and deployed responsibly across the organization. The role requires a blend of technical expertise in AI, a strong understanding of governance frameworks, and the ability to navigate complex regulatory environments
What you'll be doing
- Establish and manage comprehensive AI governance frameworks to ensure that AI initiatives comply with applicable laws and regulations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create and refine AI policies that align with organizational values and regulatory requirements
- Support the development of a comprehensive risk taxonomy for AI, covering both traditional and generative AI systems. Ensure the taxonomy addresses ethical, legal, and technical risks in line with the EU AI Act
- Define metrics to evaluate and monitor AI systems throughout their lifecycle. Ensure these metrics align with regulatory requirements and support the ongoing evaluation of ethical AI practices
- Design and implement a methodology for assessing AI systems, ensuring it aligns with ethical standards and complies with the requirements of the AI Act
- Evaluate of AI solutions, performing risk assessments, to ensure compliance with regulatory standards, focusing on both ethical considerations and technical performance
- Assist in identifying and selecting tools for effective AI governance, including AI governance platforms. Collaborate with the AI Architecture team to integrate these tools with existing organizational systems to enable robust monitoring and evaluation
- Contribute to the development and implementation of AI ethics best practices, ensuring that AI systems are designed and deployed responsibly. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide guidance on ethical AI deployment
- Work closely with technical teams, risk management, legal, compliance teams, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment on AI governance and compliance requirements. Assist in educating teams on AI ethics and governance standards Support the preparation of reports and documentation related to AI governance and compliance with the AI Act. Assist in responding to audits, regulatory inquiries, and internal assessments
What you'll need to succeed
- Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Ethics, or a related field
- Strong understanding of AI technologies and their ethical principle applied (eg: fairness, transparency, and accountability principles)
- 3-5 years of experience in AI governance and ethics with a focus on risk management and regulatory compliance
- Experience deploying AI applications and familiarity with AI governance platforms and compliance tools
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Detail-oriented and highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- A strong commitment to ethical AI practices and continuous learning about evolving AI regulations and standards
Nice to have:
Additional certifications or training in AI ethics, AI governance, or data governance is a plus (eg: AIGP)
Knowledge of AI regulatory frameworks, particularly the EU AI Act
Familiarity with cloud-native AI solutions for model development and AI services (Azure, Google Cloud).
Proficiency in MLOps frameworks and best practices.
Knowledge in object-oriented software development, particularly in Python.
