Job Summary:

As a Quality Assurance (QA) Tester at WestLink, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of our software products. The ideal candidate will have experience in both manual and automated testing, playing a critical role in ensuring that our applications meet high standards. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams, perform thorough testing, and ensure the products we deliver are defect-free and perform optimally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Testing & Quality Assurance:
  • Design and execute manual test plans, cases, and scripts to validate web, mobile (iOS, Android), and API applications.
  • Conduct functional, regression, integration, and performance testing to ensure the reliability of the products.
  • Identify, document, and track software defects, providing clear feedback to development teams for resolution.
  • Participate in cross-team collaboration to ensure alignment on quality goals and testing strategies throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Automation & Tooling:
  • Develop automated test scripts and assist in integrating them into CI/CD pipelines to enhance efficiency and reliability.
  • Assist in optimizing and expanding automated test coverage for key application areas.
  • Explore and implement third-party testing tools to enhance product quality.
  • Collaboration & Reporting:
  • Work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure clear communication of testing objectives and outcomes.
  • Participate in sprint planning and daily standups to share progress, highlight challenges, and collaborate on solutions.
  • Generate detailed test reports and provide feedback to teams to ensure prompt issue resolution and continued improvement.
  • Process Improvement:
  • Identify opportunities for improving testing processes, methodologies, and automation strategies.
  • Stay current with industry best practices in software testing and apply them to improve testing workflows.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose issues and work through solutions.
  • Experience with testing web, mobile, and API applications.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and SDLC.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong experience in automation testing with tools such as: REST Assured, Protractor, Selenium, jMeter or Load Runner
  • Strong knowledge of UI and API test automation frameworks
  • Certifications in software testing ( ISTQB, CSTE )
  • Proficiency in using test management and bug tracking tools ( JIRA, TestRail )
