Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity drive the design and the technical management of the new product studied on specific order, do adapt or replace the existing Circuit Breakers equipment, and relevant fixed part adaptation. Reporting to the Project Management Office Manager, your focus will be on technical design of the retrofit Circuit Breaker and OneFit, optimizing the manufacturing process through innovation in a cost-effective way; provide 3D modeling design, manage and maintain technical documentation, Bills Of Materials and updates on the design. The work model for the role is: #LI-Oniste This role is contributing to the Service division, Electrification Business Area in Dalmine. You will be mainly accountable for: • Defining the sequence of the production process in line with material and investment budgets. • Ensuring optimal efficiency in production methods, equipment performance and materials/components • Identifying and implementing improvements to the manufacturing process in line with cost, safety and timing requirements. • Investigating new methods, technologies and changes in equipment and process design to meet specifications, accordingly with Industrialization Service. • Defining action plans and training relevant maintenance and production resources and personnel to ensure smooth implementation of new processes and a skilled, competent team. • Consulting and working with production operators and supervisors to implement changes on the Service production line. Cooperate functionally with ELSE R&D, following principles, rules and best practices. • Providing site surveys when strictly needed and/or carry on the prototype measurements detection, and consequently realize the 3D model design project, then coordinate the external stakeholders to get all the detailed construction drawings and BOMs for MV Retroft Circuit Breakers and OneFit MV solutions. • Completing the documents release by ABB common R&D tools, and update the progress boards for retrofit types. When required by the project, coordinate the execution of type tests on a new retrofit solution. You will join a high performing team, where you will be able to thrive.

Qualifications for the role

• You have at least 2 years of experience in design.
• Working as Designer Production Specialist with willingness to travel (15% of working time) to make tc measurements especially in Italy.
• Possess an enhanced knowledge of Mechanical skills (R&D style), Solidworks, Autocad, knowledge of Microsoft Office (especially Excel), preferable minimal knowledge of Inventor, and maestry of electrical and schemes knowledge.
• You are innovative around strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Degree in Mechatronics or Mechanical Diploma with relevant experience.
• You are at ease communicating in Italian and English, both written and spoken.
