Your role

As a Sales Engineer at Atlas Copco Group, you will play a pivotal role in accelerating the growth of our Power Technique Business, specifically within the Portable Air division in Italy's Center and South regions. You will leverage your technical proficiency and deep understanding of the construction market to build strong relationships with customers and partners. Reporting directly to the Business Line Manager for Portable Air Division, you will be instrumental in aligning sales initiatives with customer needs and company objectives, ensuring impactful and sustainable business development.

You will be a key contributor in expanding our footprint across the Lazio and Campania regions, bringing your expertise in portable air compressors and capital goods to the forefront of our sales strategy.

Your day-to-day

  • Engage both face-to-face and digitally with new and existing customers to identify opportunities for sales growth, leveraging your product knowledge to tailor solutions.
  • Conduct detailed needs assessments then present and demonstrate the suitability of products, services, and technical solutions.
  • Develop and execute medium- to long-term sales plans that strengthen and diversify relationships within your assigned territory.
  • Lead the development of a distribution network including specialist dealers, resellers, and rental companies to broaden market coverage.
  • Collaborate closely with marketing and local service teams to boost brand awareness, create promotional initiatives, and ensure seamless after-sales support.
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, sales activities, and forecasts in our CRM system to enable effective sales funnel management and reporting.

Your skills and experience

  • Completed High School diploma; Bachelor or degree in Industrial Engineering, preferably in electrical, electrotechnical, or mechanical disciplines.
  • Demonstrated success in complex, value-driven sales environments especially relating to capital goods and technical products.
  • Native proficiency in Italian and strong command of English for effective communication in diverse business contexts.
  • Competent with IT applications such as Microsoft Office suite, Outlook, SAP, and CRM platforms.
  • Highly proactive, resourceful, and entrepreneurial approach with excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Willingness to travel extensively, up to 70% of working time, covering the assigned territories.
  • Based preferably within the Lazio or Campania regions to facilitate localized customer engagement.

  • Job classification and collective labor agreement (CCNL): Level 2 under the Tertiary, Distribution and Services Collective Bargaining Agreement.
  • Starting salary within the relevant salary range: from EUR 44.000 gross per year. The actual salary offered will be determined based on various factors, including, but not limited to, internal pay equity, level of responsibility, and the experience and skills of the selected candidate.
