ZURU Tech is on a mission to digitalise the construction process of buildings all around the world. We have a multinational team developing the first BIM software able to build your real dream home: you design, we build it!

Our trailblazing BIM software continuously pushes the innovation envelope, solidifying our position as industry leaders. Fuelling our vision are over 120 markets worldwide that have embraced our ground-breaking solutions. But our journey doesn't stop here!
Brilliant inventions take shape from brilliant minds. We all believe our product is extraordinary so we're looking for extraordinary people too. Step into the future with ZURU Tech, where technology and creativity intertwine to reshape the construction industry worldwide.
Welcome to the future!
About the Role
You'll join ZURU Home as the Product Owner for the Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing (MEP) module of our BIM application - a highly automated MEP design module where the end user simply designs the utilities, and the software takes care of routing and generating the installation automatically via a procedural algorithm, which you'll help define together with our Product Design and Software Development teams.
You'll work directly with ZURU Tech's CTO and CDO to define the product roadmap, organize milestones and user stories, and align the module's development with our strategic goals. Day to day, you'll write and maintain epics, user stories, and BIM-related documentation on GitLab.
You'll translate the product roadmap into well-defined product requirements - features, user stories, and acceptance test criteria, and help maintain a prioritized backlog for implementation. You'll assess value, build the case for, and prioritize user stories so the team's work stays focused on what matters most for the product strategy.
You'll work closely with cross-functional teams and stakeholders, including UX Designers and Software Engineers, in an Agile environment, continuously reviewing business needs and deliverables as the product evolves.
Teams
You'll be embedded with the Product team for ZURU Home's BIM application, working in close, day-to-day collaboration with the Software Development and UX/Design teams in an Agile setup.
Sounds Nice? Check the following requirements:
- Engineering background: A Bachelor's Degree in Structural or Energy Engineering is nice to have. A genuine passion for the construction field is a strong plus.
- MEP design experience: A few years of hands-on experience designing civil or industrial MEP installations - electrical, cold/hot water supply, waste/drain, heating, cooling, ventilation, security, and/or home automation. You don't need to cover every category (e.g. electrical-only experience is fine); depth in even one or two of these is valuable. Experience with complex, high-end residential, industrial, or pharmaceutical installations is a plus, as is a background as a thermal/HVAC designer.
- Design tools: Comfortable working with AutoCAD or equivalent MEP design software.
- Customer-first mindset: A design-thinking approach that puts the end user first, with the ability to grasp complex systems quickly and consistently bring fresh ideas to the table.
- Passion for UX, software & technology: Real interest in user experience and software design. Curiosity about or hands-on experience with AI tools, for example, having built a website, dashboard, or automated a workflow with AI is a strong plus.
- Ownership & project management: A proactive self-starter with strong project management skills and the ability to juggle multiple priorities at once.
- Communication: Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage, influence, and align partners and stakeholders across the business.
- English: Outstanding English C1 level or above.
