A Technician position is available in the TIGET Clinical Lab (TCL) (https://research.hsr.it/en/institutes/san-raffaele-telethon-institute-for-gene-therapy/sr-tiget-clinical-lab.html) coordinated by dr. Matias Soncini at the San Raffaele Telethon Institute for Gene Therapy (SR-Tiget), Milan, Italy. SR-Tiget was created in 1995 as a joint-venture between Fondazione Telethon and Ospedale San Raffaele (OSR), with the mission to perform cutting edge research on gene and cell therapy and to translate its results into therapeutic advances for genetic diseases. TCL is a Clinical Research laboratory that performs analysis on samples from patients that underwent experimental Cell and Gene Therapy. TCL is an AIFA autocertified Phase I laboratory where the biological effects of experimental Cell and Gene Therapy are studied following approved Clinical Protocols and in compliance with Good Clinical Laboratory Practice (GCLP).

The position.

We are looking for a motivated young Technician, possibly with one or two years of experience, to work in TCL, part of the Development Units of SR-TIGET.

Main activities:
Cellular immunology techniques: Isolation of PBMCs, Immunobeads purification, flow cytometry, short cell culture, western blot techniques;
Molecular techniques (PCR and nucleic acid extraction, etc.);
Managing and tracking of biological samples following GCLP principles;
Knowledge of English is required.

Basic Skills for the ideal candidate:
Scientific Bachelor or Master’s Degree or Biomedical laboratory technician;
One year of experience in cellular and /or molecular biology;
High accuracy, reliability, precision;
Team player, collaborative, pro-active mindset.

Plus:
Experience in flow cytometry;
Experience on molecular biology;
Experience in GXP laboratories;
Good oral and written English.

Starting date: September / October 2025;
The position is for one year, potentially renewable;
The work position is at SR-Tiget, via Olgettina 58, Milan.
