Position

The candidate will join the RTW Development team in Rome and will be a key figure in the Sportswear & Denim development process. She/he will take ownership of the Sportswear & Denim collection’s development process from initial concept to final product, working across teams to ensure creative designs are translated into innovative products and achieving Fendi quality standards

Job responsibilities

  • Act as a lead contact point and take responsibility for the development of the Sportswear & Denim collection;
  • Participate in technical meetings with Style, modelling, production and development teams to move projects smoothly to next steps;
  • Work on the development of the Sportswear & Denim Collection, coordinating the activities and resources involved in the sample process and monitoring samples production process;
  • Manage the planning coordination and execution of projects from insights to briefs, through to design, development, costing and commercialization;
  • Review all prototypes and market samples to ensure accuracy in execution;
  • Participate during production and development fittings, communicating updated tech packs/specs to factories and following up to make sure adjustments are made timely;
  • Lead relationships with suppliers and manufacturers on development projects and together with the production team provide feedback on all products;
  • Adhere to company’s product development calendar, tracking collection’s progress and solving issues in order to meet collection objectives and deadlines;
  • Liaise with suppliers for the progress and return of developments within the scheduled dates and to find the best solution to work, always with a view to sustainability;
  • Review all components with an eye for quality, and performance.

Profile

  • At least 8-10 years’ experience in a similar role within Sportswear product development, preferably in fashion luxury companies;
  • University degree with emphasis on clothing;
  • Strong knowledge of product development and manufacturing processes, fabrics, woven as well as garment specifications, fitting and pattern making;
  • Passion for the product and attention to detail;
  • Capable of multi-tasking and coordinating different projects;
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Good level of English;
  • Availability to travel in Italy

Additional information

For new joiners for this role in Italy, the annual gross salary associated with this position is EUR 63.000.

This is only the initial annual gross salary granted to this position. This figure has been determined based on objective and gender-neutral criteria and reflects the starting salary normally applicable to the position at the time of publication of this job posting. Actual salaries may vary based on factors such as your unique blend of experience and skills, start date and our current organizational needs.

This role is also eligible for bonuses, subject to Fendi's discretion and based on factors such as individual and/or organizational performance. On top of legal benefits, further benefits are provided in accordance with current company policies.

This position is subject to the provisions of the collective bargaining agreement (CCNL Commercio) applicable to the role and applied by Fendi in Italy".

FENDI
MAISON
